Welcome

Armoy Community Association is in the early stages of developing an exciting and new project to tell the story of "The Armoy Armada" - a group of exceptional young motorcycle road racers, of world renowned. The "Armoy Armada" were the subject of the groundbreaking 1970s documentary, "Road Racers", by David Wallace.

What else is going on

The Project seeks to connect with the Community of Armoy, those with a passion to bring this amazing story to life. This will be done by unearthing unseen footage, relating new and insightful stories and providing this new information via this web page and more significantly as part of a tourist trail in Armoy itself. The information will be collated via a series of events in the form of workshops, seminars, focus groups, oral history evenings and learning journeys.

The project is funded by the Rural Development Council, managed by Armoy Community Association and delivered by Awakin.
